A How-To Guide on Navigating and Searching with HeinOnline

Overview

ScholarCheck Overview

ScholarCheck is a series of tools that allow users to view journal articles and cases that have a high impact on the subject.

Functions:

  1. The Most Cited tab allows users to access the most cited journals, articles, authors, and more within the Law Journal Library.
  2. Users may view citing information for any document within the search results as well as within the table of contents inside a document.
  3. Selecting the ScholarCheck icon shows the records of the number of times articles are accessed by other HeinOnline users within a 12-month period.
  4. Users can sort search results by the most cited author, times cited, times accessed, or ScholarCheck ranking.
  5. Users may link between documents by clicking on the blue highlighted hyperlinks within documents.

Author Profile Pages

Author Profiles display the list of articles written by the selected author. Users may set up email alerts to be notified when new articles written by the author have been added to the HeinOnline collections. These alerts also notify users when other articles have cited to any of the author's published works. You will need to create a MyHein account to set up these alerts.
