You found a job that you are really interested in, and your application is submitted. After your resume and application materials have done their part comes the interview. The company has decided you have the skills and abilities to do the job, and now they want to get to know you better in the next phase of the hiring process. This is your time to shine, but how will you prepare and stand out as the top candidate for the job? Dr. Matt Vaartstra, a career advisor with NU Career Services, will take you through interview best practices for before, during, and after your interview to ensure that you will have confidence headed into your next interview. We will discuss preparation strategies, how to answer common questions (and handle challenging ones), and focus your interview on creating a connection with the company to optimize your chances of landing the job. Bring your questions about the interview process for open Q+A at the end.
