Read Chapter 3: Managing Stress: Restoring Mind-Body Harmony
• This chapter discusses common stress terms and the various components of stress. The chapter also describes the ways stress can cause illness and how college students can manage overload and practice time management. Pay attention as you read how your thoughts contribute to your stress and the things you can incorporate into your life to reduce stress.
Read Chapter 4: Mental Health
• This chapter builds from the chapter on stress and presents coping strategies for dealing with emotional distress. The chapter provides a discussion on depression, adult attention deficit hyperactivity, and autism spectrum disorders. Focus on how positive thoughts and emotions contribute to enhancing your health. The chapter also discusses the importance of sleep, which is the focus of Week 4.
