This 23-minute video introduces you to two other types of designs - correlation and regression. This video addresses a simple regression, but you will be introduced to various types of regression analyses later.
Brown, S. R., & Melamed, L. E. (1990). Quantitative applications in the Social Sciences: Experimental design and analysis. SAGE. There is a lot of detail in this Little Green Book, so do not overwhelm yourself with all of the particulars at this point. But, after reading the textbook if you feel you need more understanding, this book gives specifics on this type of design.
Salkind, N. J. (2010). Quasi-experimental design. In Encyclopedia of research design (Vols. 1-0). SAGE. The SAGE encyclopedia of research designs has a lot of helpful and quick reference definitions of terms. This link is to quasi-experimental, another common design in quantitative research.
