This article is an excellent example of a conceptual framework. This paper provides the example of "not one shoe fits all" when researchers were looking into SBIRT literature. They looked into many different theoretical orientations. They found there were several such models that were generic and broadly applicable to different types of innovations and organizations. They further discussed that their intention was not to displace these but rather to apply them in constructing a framework specific to SBIRT.
