This book is one of the four core textbooks for this course. These books will provide the student with a greater understanding and foundational principles associated with RTI, PBIS, MTSS, and UDL. These books were selected to allow the student deeper knowledge of how multi-tiered systems are implemented and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) are used effectively in school systems.

Read chapters 4 and 6.

Teaching writing effectively to elementary and secondary students is imperative to helping them improve their writing skills, which in turn helps them succeed both inside and outside the classroom. Effective writing is a vital component of literacy development and provides students with a means of clearly communicating their thoughts and ideas with others. Writing also gives students the skills to analyze texts and other information to clarify their thoughts.
