Wallace, P. (2024). Introduction to information systems (5th ed.). Pearson Education.
Read:
Every organization has all kinds of information, but it takes considerable effort to bring together the people, technology, and processes needed to manage those resources effectively. Chapter 4 explores the structure and quality of information and how people organize, store, manipulate, and retrieve it. Chapter 5 reinforces that all organizations, large or small, require recordkeeping. These records track transactions, income, employees, customers, suppliers, taxes, assets, and much more, providing a solid backbone for the company’s activities. The records also form the data repository needed to generate countless reports that stakeholders require, both inside and outside the organization. Chapter 6 All companies need a digital strategy, one that typically features their website as the front door and adds presence on social media and easy access via mobile devices. Whether the organization sells products, solicits donations, or tries to build mindshare and loyalty, its digital presence is critical for success.
