As part of this course, you will be doing research on the impact of current and previous policy initiatives. Some of this research may come from reputable policy research institutes often referred to as ‘think tanks.’ These organizations research current policy trends, provide analyses on the effectiveness of different policies, and make recommendations. Think tanks are made up of experts in the field who produce independent research to inform decision-making and shape discussions on important issues, such as those we will be discussing in this course.
