This article by Rober is a foundational collaborative discussion. It articulates the collaborative perspectives of not knowing as well as other collaborative interventions. This article does not specifically hone in on LGBTQ+ families; however, the descriptions are useful for considering how these interventions may or may not work with LGBTQ+ families.

Zidek, T. M. (2023). Solution-focused therapeutic methods. E-psychology, 17(2), 41-57.
This article provides a concise overview of many of the solution focused interventions. Zidek defines and describes many approaches. This articles doesn’t specifically hone in on LGBTQ+ clients; however, provides a nice basis for considering these techniques with LGBTQ+ populations.

Steelman, S. M. (2016). Externalizing Identities: An Integration of Narrative Therapy and Queer Theory. Journal of Family Psychotherapy, 27(1), 79–84.
Steelman presents a discussion on using narrative therapy when working with LGBTQIA+ identities. Interventions and clinical directions are discussed.
