The article discusses the widespread dissatisfaction among K-12 educators due to feeling overworked, underpaid, and underappreciated. It highlights a positive trend that is taking place in K-12 education, as experienced by five acclaimed K-12 teachers who are finalists for the 2023 National Teacher of the Year award. It suggests that these practices are bringing unity to the teaching profession and may help to stabilize it by encouraging more teachers to stay in the profession.

The purpose of this study was to conduct a needs analysis concerning the future of curriculum development in education. The views of experts were obtained on the future of curriculum development. The study findings suggest creating curriculum drafts based on the needs analyses, skills, and abilities and ensuring their suitability to digital platforms. The results also suggested preparing curriculum with interdisciplinary approaches that value student-centered practices, skills, values, and activities.

The aim of this study was to give information about layered curriculum in detail and cover the importance of it in the learning-teaching process. Layered curriculum is composed of three layers that entail students to work step-by-step and use higher-level thinking skills. As an educator and author, Nunley developed this approach as a result of her classroom experiences with high school students. Layered curriculum offers tasks that provide learners the opportunity to choose activities from simple to complex, easy to difficult, centered on Bloom’s taxonomy.
