This review of the literature discusses the connection between family and health. The authors discuss diversity and social inequality. This is an important topic to consider as we look at the role of family in the aging process.

The study looks at the aspects of intergenerational solidarity, or the degree of cohesion between generations. This is an interesting concept, as the population is aging. It is important to look at how the relationships between generations can impact the healthy aging process.
