Plan B students: The following is a brief overview of what should be included in a results/discussion when your research inquiry was based on a principal investigation. Textbook approaches to reporting results vary. Some authors support a "results” section that is completely separate from the discussion section. Others combine both. For this paper, you will include the results of the data collection within this section (Chapter 3) and then continue to present the other parts of the discussion too. However, the conclusion section of the paper is a separate section, though the authors below may include a conclusion in their description. Please read pp. 167-172 from the source cited below.
