This article describes how Bloom’s Taxonomy was revised in 2001 by Anderson and Krathwohl to reflect contemporary understandings of learning better. The revision changed the names of the six cognitive levels from nouns to action verbs, shifting from "Knowledge, Comprehension, Application, Analysis, Synthesis, Evaluation" to "Remember, Understand, Apply, Analyze, Evaluate, Create."
