Chapter 4: This chapter provides strategies for onboarding, preparing, and supporting learners for the online learning experience, and planning ways to continually monitor and address their progress and development.
Chapter 5: This chapter covers the benefits of positive working relationships, and how to go about developing working relationships that will facilitate and sustain learning.
Chapter 6: Throughout this chapter there is a strong focus on respectfully addressing diversity and inclusion, and ensuring that this is intentionally infused throughout your teaching practice.
Chapter 7: In this chapter eight sets of engagement indicators serve as a practical model to determine the extent to which engagement is established and maintained throughout a course and are based on the essential drivers of success that apply to the online learning context.

Blog Reports

Author and adult educator Dr. Linda Dale Bloomberg was commissioned to develop a series of reports for successful online teaching for Teachers College Press. In these blog reports she addresses multimodal strategies for synchronous and asynchronous delivery of content, shows how to engage students, and discusses how to adopt an accessible and equitable instructional approach to ensure online student success:
