DIS9901 Course Guide

Dissertation topics are a special subset of research topics. All of the previously mentioned techniques can, and should, be utilized to locate potential dissertation topics, but there are also some special considerations to keep in mind when choosing a dissertation topic.

This is a research book with a difference. It tells the truth about the research process. Each phase of a research project is addressed in the simultaneous order in which researchers often undertake them.

A proposal is a written request for approval of an investigation. It is the candidate's way of telling the reader, "Here is the problem; here is how I hope to arrive at the solution." Guidelines are presented for a traditional three-chapter model: Introduction, Review of the Literature, and Methodology.
