The Chicago Manual of Style is a publication of The University of Chicago Press (UCP). Chicago style is commonly used in the social sciences.

The UCP also publishes a student version of the guide called A Manual for Writers of Research Papers, Theses, and Dissertations. This is often called the "Turabian" guide after its original author, Kate L. Turabian.
