Read Chapter 2, Philosophical Assumptions and Interpretive Frameworks.

Every person brings their philosophical assumptions to their research, which impact the kind of research questions they ask, and how they go about gathering and analyzing data. This chapter highlights various philosophical assumptions and the various interpretive frameworks that enact these beliefs.

Read Chapter 3, Designing a Qualitative Study.

This chapter provides an introductory overview of the characteristics of qualitative research before we begin exploring the different “threads”, being the actual research designs.
