Types of Posts: Users can post various content in the form of a conversation, event, file upload and video.
Daily Summary: A notification email is sent to all Commons members when new activity occurs in communities that they have joined. New posts as well as comments to related posts drafted or followed are included in the summary.
Calendar: The community calendar is another venue to post and promote library workshops and related events.
Alerts and Announcements: Library Insider community stewards can post important alerts and announcements, including changes to library hours and system downtimes
D2L Widget Integration: Users can view their personal commons activity feed while logged into the university learning management system.
Hashtags #: Users can label posts and create trending topics through content tagging with hashtags. Tags may be searched within a community or the Commons at large.
Tagging @: Users can tag other members in posts using the @ symbol. This encourages collaboration and conversation on topics.
Likes and Follows: User can acknowledge a post and "Like" it by issuing a thumbs up as well as follow a thread for new comments made.
