Office 365 Introduction and Resources

Your NU Office 365 student email account is your main source of communication with anyone in the University. You can expect to receive the following types of communication from the University through your NU email account:

  • Notification emails when you are registered for a new class.
  • Notification when you have submitted an assignment.
  • Welcome emails from faculty members.
  • Direct responses to communication with your faculty members or NU team members.
  • Important announcements and communications from the University.
  • A daily summary of activity within The Commons.

It is important to remember that this email account is the primary way your faculty members will contact you. You will want to check this email account on a daily basis so that you can keep in touch with your faculty and be aware of any important changes within the University. We recommend utilizing the features of Office 365 by installing it on your mobile device, or forward your emails to a personal email account that you use every day.

Your Office 365 account includes several web based apps including Outlook email, Word, and Excel. In addition to the web-based Office apps, you can download and install the full versions of the Office products for PC and Mac on up to five machines, free of charge from your Office 365 Dashboard.

To access your Office 365 email account and apps, locate the Office 365 widget on your NCUOne homepage.

When you are ready to start using Office 365, review the Office 365 chapter in the NCUOne Student Guide.
