Mindsets - A Conversation with Carol DweckDweck, C. (Academic). (2014). Mindsets - A conversation with Carol Dweck [Video]. SAGE Knowledge
In this 1-hour video, Carol Dweck discusses her ideas surrounding the power of mindsets, both fixed mindset, which believes that abilities are fixed, and growth mindset, the belief that abilities can be developed. Growth mindset can impact both teaching and learning. For children in the classroom, fostering a growth mindset results in them stretching themselves and believing that they are capable of success and will be successful. For teachers, growth mindset supports instructional strategies and feedback given to students, but it also aids teachers in stretching their beliefs about their own abilities.
