This brief article provides several examples of how leaders in the academic/education space may be able to demonstrate and embed fundamental social justice competencies throughout their work. Covered concepts may provide ideas on how to promote and develop a more inclusive and safe space for those in the education field.

This case study provides an overview of key ‘lessons learned’ from a complete curriculum revision change management effort. These lessons reinforce the need to understand the problem and the need for change, the importance of clear communication, building a collaborative and supportive team that will help drive key change initiatives, and the importance of integrating change into practices that evolve over time.
