A sense of coherence has three primary elements: (a) comprehensibility (being able to make sense of the complexity of life); (b) manageability (identifying and deploying at the appropriate time one’s resources); and (c) meaningfulness (actively working to find meaning). Proponents of SOC assert this notion is relevant to professional development and performance, particularly meaningfulness. Reflect on how these concepts are relevant to your completion of the internship and the degree. For example, how are you making sense and finding meaning in this component of your program?
