This article was chosen to provide an in-depth review of crisis communications, specifically offering guidance on what, how, and when to communicate information in crisis situations. Researchers examine how to make decisions on what to communicate during times of uncertainty furthermore how to gain knowledge during situations of high uncertainty. The purpose of this article is to review the decision-making process related to communication while exploring each aspect within the context of situations with high degrees of uncertainty, ambiguity, and a lack of immediate information.
