This study analyzes the impact of COVID-19 on immigration in 15 high-income countries. The results indicate that immigration decreased in most countries, except for Finland, with Australia, Spain, and Sweden experiencing the largest declines. The study suggests that international travel restrictions and mobility constraints have a significant impact on immigration, while work and school closings and unemployment do not appear to be driving forces behind the changes in immigration patterns.
