Reviewing data for relevancy and privilege is expensive and time consuming. When dealing with massive amounts of data, inadvertent disclosure is always possible, and it is important to prevent it as much as possible, but to have an agreement in place to resolve the issue in the event it occurs. Finally, in order to avoid spoliation claims, it is important to have proactive strategies in place for data retention and procedures to delete or destroy the data when it is no longer useful.
