The article covers the problem of corruption, diagnosing corruption, using laws and policies to fight corruption, remedies in management and administration, and remedies from outside of the criminal justice system.

This is a January 2015 paper authorized by the Department for International Development from the United Kingdom. The concepts covered in this paper are understanding corruption, factors that facilitate corruption, the gender dimensions of corruption, effects of corruption: costs and broader impacts, and anti-corruption measures. The issues studied and analyzed in the United Kingdom are no different than those here in the United States.

This article, authored by a United Nations judge, addresses the issues of corruption and judicial independence and the impact it has on human rights. The article points out the direct effects of corruption on the validity of human rights because of the impact it has on human needs such as public health, education, infrastructure, and security.
