These readings will provide you with a good overview of the importance of how our thought processes and language impact our worldview. In addition, learning about the assessment of intelligence and the ongoing debate about the validity of IQ testing and cultural biases that prevail in this domain will help prepare you to work with clients who may need additional support in their school and work endeavors. Learning about how we cope with emotions and what serves to motivate us in our daily lives will also give you a better understanding of your clients’ concerns in these areas.
