Chapter 10: Predictive Data Mining: Regression Tasks (10.1-10.4)
This chapter examines topics associated with generating predictions for problems with continuous outcomes. Specifically, we will evaluate regression trees and ensembling methods for predicting continuous outcomes. We will learn to interpret performance measures for prediction methods on regression tasks.
Chapter 11: Predictive Data Mining: Classification Tasks (11.1-11.5)
This chapter follows a similar line as Chapter 10, with the exception that the target we are trying to predict is categorical/discrete. In this chapter, expect to gain insight into the application to different types of problems and how to interpret the results.
