An Annual Peer Reviewed Publication of National University
The Journal of Research in Innovative Teaching published by National University is an annual peer-reviewed Web-based publication of scholarship and research focused on new, effective instructional approaches and methods. This journal publishes original research articles by National University faculty, while also welcoming submissions from outside the University. The journal's mission is to collect and disseminate advanced research-based information on teaching and learning, particularly focusing on innovative methodologies and technologies applied primarily but not exclusively in higher education, to improve educational practice and enhance student learning outcomes.
The latest volumes of the Journal of Research in Innovative Teaching can be accessed through Emerald Publishing here. For older volumes, see the archived links below.
The GNU publishes writing of all kinds by National University students. It is intended as a venue in which to show off and reward the best student writing produced in and out of classes throughout the University. In addition to "literary" fare such as poetry and short fiction, The GNU also publishes excellent research papers, digital artwork, essays, and writing of any other sort. All faculty should encourage their students to submit their work to The GNU ; faculty who are aware of fine student writing can submit it themselves with the student's permission. One of the best ways to reward fine student writing — more rewarding than any grade you can give it — is to encourage them to publish it for others to read. The GNU is presently published once a year; copies are available in the Library and can be requested from the faculty coordinator of the GNU, Frank Montesonti. Please submit your work to the GNU by an attached Word document file to: fmontesonti@nu.edu.
Vision magazine is published once a year. It also profiles individuals who exemplify the University's finest qualities and highest level of academic and professional achievement.
The Alumni Relations Department publishes seven editions of the Alumni Newswire, an electronic newsletter about National University, its programs and events, its alumni and faculty, and their noteworthy achievements and success. View the current issues on this website.
