Since its inception in 2015, GRRT staff have spent over 99,819 person-days deployed in more than 2,447 total mobilizations. The GRRT addresses emergencies such as cholera, COVID-19, dengue, Ebola, hepatitis A, measles, polio, yellow fever, Zika, famine, mass gatherings, and natural disasters. It comprises a readily deployable team of public health experts coordinated from CDC Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, with dedicated full-time (core) staff. GRRT’s mission includes stopping health threats before they reach U.S. shores, providing long-term staffing for international emergency responses, and supporting partner countries in achieving core global health security capabilities
