Revised Bloom's Taxonomy

A brief introduction to Revised Bloom's Taxonomy

The Knowledge Dimension

The knowledge dimension outlines knowledge categories that help educators parse different kinds of knowledge. While Bloom originally articulated the knowledge dimension in 1956 as a way to make sense of different types of knowledge in a way that cut across subjects and disciplines, in 2001, Anderson and Krathwohl modified the original terminology and added a fourth dimension, the metacognitive dimension.
