Gonzalez, T. (2020). The State of Restorative Justice in American Criminal Law. Wisconsin Law Review, 2020(6), 1147–1197. This article introduces the expansion of restorative justice which has been part of the American criminal justice system for 30 years. RJ is being discussed as expanding into mainstream reform conversations, especially when looking at mass incarcerations. The problem even widened with the racial violence and anti-Blackness. These factors necessitate reforms and the restorative justice landscape needs to be refined to match those demands.
