Chapter 10 – Corporate Governance: This chapter is important because it defines corporate governance and how it is used to monitor and control top-level manager’s decisions and approaches to company success. Compensation for top-level managers is discussed. There is an overview of using corporate governance in nations such as Germany, Japan, and China (Hitt et al., 2024).
Chapter 11 – Organizational Structures and Controls: This chapter is important because you will learn about organizational structure and controls. You will learn about the differences between strategic and financial controls. Also, you will review the organizational structures to implement international strategies (Hitt et al., 2024).
Chapter 12 – Strategic Leadership: This chapter is important because you will learn what strategic leadership is for top-level managers and why it is important. You will learn why top management teams effect the firm’s performance. Additionally, you will learn how the value of strategic leadership determines the strategic direction for the company. Finally, ethical practices will be covered (Hitt et al., 2024).
Chapter 13 – Strategic Entrepreneurship: This chapter is important because you will learn the difference between strategic entrepreneurship and corporate entrepreneurship. Opportunities are discussed and the importance in established industries. Also, you will learn how to use cooperative strategies to innovate and create value (Hitt et al., 2024).
