3 How to Score the WJ-IV COG (pp. 81-133)
4 How to Interpret the WJ-IV COG (pp. 144-210)
Chapter Three provides an overview of the processes needed to score the WJ-IV Cog battery. Each test in this battery is addressed with the rules and processes for scoring each individual test in the battery. Since each test is different, scores and processes are different. This chapter includes details on how to select the report that best supports the data one is seeking. Since the scoring for this battery is completed using an online platform, both a computer and internet are needed. The data provided in each report is described. Since a lot of data is available, it is important to pay particular attention to this section to best understand how to interpret the data, which will be explored in the next chapter. Please note that the description for the scores are different from those used to describe the scores on the WISC-V.
Chapter Four brings all the data/numbers into meaningful information that you, as a school psychologist will use to better understand a child’s learning profile (strengths, weaknesses, develop and underdeveloped skills). This chapter includes detailed directions for interpreting the data which can then be used to assist in making educational data-based decisions to support student learning.
