Introduction to Professional Ethics

  • Read Chapter 1. This book is the textbook for this course. Most weeks, you will read a chapter from it as a foundation for exploring the topic for that week. This week’s chapter is an introduction to the topic of ethics and provides a model for ethical decision-making.
  • Make sure to complete the self-assessment inventory on pages 26-32. You will also complete the same inventory at the end of the course to examine how your attitudes may have changed due to your experiences throughout this course.

  • This book takes the ethical standards and provides case examples and commentary regarding the application of the standard to the case. This will help you develop critical thinking and skills in applying the code of ethics to actual situations. Refer to this resource as needed.
