- Culturally inclusive and cross-cultural instructional design approaches are essential in higher education, particularly for online learning environments as student populations grow more diverse. This article emphasizes the importance of using the Community of Inquiry (CoI) model and culturally inclusive pedagogy to create equitable learning environments tailored to the needs of BIPOC students, outlining key instructional design practices for achieving this goal.
