Faculty Services Guide

This guide presents an overview of library resources and services for Faculty.

Library Collection

The Library provides high-quality resources to support both the university curriculum and lifelong learning. The collection includes thousands of peer-reviewed journals, as well as newspapers, magazines, videos, e-books, dissertations, and more. The free Interlibrary Loan service allows users to request and electronically receive articles, book chapters, reports, or other resources when not available in full-text. Alumni have continued access to a growing collection of journals and databases following graduation. See the Alumni Guide for details.

To access all Library resources, go to the A-Z Databases link on the homepage. For quick access to the most frequently used resources, see the box below.

Faculty Requests

The Library values our faculty feedback and recommendations for improving library collections. We welcome any suggestions for adding new resources to the library. The Library seriously considers all purchase suggestions, based on the guidelines set forth in the Library Collection Development Policy. Please keep in mind, as a virtual university, we can only consider acquiring electronic resources, such as eBooks, eJournals, databases, and/or streaming media. If you have any questions or would like to speak with a library representative about a possible acquisition, please feel free to contact the Library at library@ncu.edu. To recommend an item for purchase, please use the suggestion form located in the box below.
