Some assignments may direct you to post within The Commons and require you to provide the specific URL for your post. To grab the URL for a post, click on "conversation" which is a link in the header of a post. Note: Don't click the name or community link, click the conversation link.
When the post opens in the next page, click into the address bar at the top of your screen and highlight the URL. Copy the entire URL and paste it into the assignment dropbox or into a Word document (whichever option is provided in your assignment directions).
If your assignment requires the URL for your specific comment (not an initial post, but a comment or reply to a thread), you will want to grab the URL immediately after posting the reply. After saving a post, you should be rerouted back to the thread and your comment should be visible. Grab the URL from the address bar at the top of your screen, highlight the entire URL, then copy it.
If you didn't grab the reply URL and left the page, you can navigate back to your reply and click "edit".
On the next page, don't make any changes and simply click "save" to repost.
