The current study used data collected as part of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network Core Data Set to examine whether racial/ethnic disparities exist in treatment duration and completion in children seeking treatment for trauma exposure. The article explored whether disparities persist after accounting for other variables associated with children's social contexts and the treatment setting.

Nelson, R.H., Mitrani, V.B., & Szapoxznik, J. (2000). Applying a family-ecosystemic model to reunite a family separated due to child abuse: A case study. Contemporary Family Therapy, 22(2), 125-146.
This article demonstrate the success of a family-ecosystemic intervention for achieving the reintegration of an adolescent into her family following a court-imposed separation. The SET (Structural Ecosystems Therapy) model was used to: (1) repair family bonds, (2) build collaborations among the agencies involved in overseeing the child's welfare, and (3) build an alliance between the mother and agency personnel. This case study suggests that facilitating such collaborations can be helpful in the evaluation and follow-through of high-risk cases.

This article explore reasons why tobacco shops may perpetuate TRHDs and other health disparities in disadvantaged communities. This article further describe how community-partnered research grounded in community-based participatory research principles may empower stakeholders in disadvantaged communities to generate positive downstream outcomes such as tobacco-related policy changes.
