Read Chapter 15. Brokering and case management are two substantial roles played by social workers. This chapter explores their place in generalist practice and their connection to the GIM.

Read Chapter 4. This is the latest assigned chapter in the Morgaine and Capous-Desyllas book that serves as the basis for understanding anti-oppressive social work practice as the foundation of the BSW program.

The importance of evidence-based practice in social work has been discussed in this and earlier courses in the BSW program. This article discusses the appropriate place for evidence-based practice. It is assigned reading with the understanding that social workers respect research as one of many sources of knowledge.
Intervention with Adults

Students may have an understanding of evidence-based interventions, but not know about specific interventions that fit these criteria. This chapter presents examples of evidence-informed interventions.
