Standards are documents that outline the processes and best practices for specific tasks. As the ISO puts it, a standard is "a formula that describes the best way of doing something," like "making a product, managing a process, delivering a service or supplying materials." Although many standards are freely-available online, some are offered only by subscription or must be purchased individually. Contact the Library if you need help finding the text of a standard.

Professional associations often provide research, education, and professional development resources (such as conferences, online webinars, blogs, and listservs). You might find the networking and job hunting tools they offer useful.
