Team owners (leaders) manage certain settings for the team. They add and remove members, add guests, change team settings, and handle administrative tasks. There can be multiple owners in a team.
When rolling out Teams, start small and only add a small number of Teams and team members. As needs arise, add new people or groups as you go.
You can create a team from scratch or create a team from a group or team.
Rather than creating multiple teams with the same set of members, create channels within your team. Channels are set up so they are dedicated to specific topics, departments, or projects. When setting up a channel, use a descriptive name so users can understand the purpose of the channel. This helps ensure that communication and file sharing within that channel is for the intended purpose only.
Channel conversations are public. However, you can create Private Channels within Teams for a select group of people to focus on collaborating.
To manage the team, click the three dots (...) next to the team name. Your options are:
If you click manage team, this takes you to an administration page where you can adjust settings or add channels and members. However, for quick actions such as adding a member or getting the link to the team, you can do that from the options menu. If you have a lot of changes to make, visit the administration page to manage the team.
Staff notebooks are digital notebooks, built from One Note, that cultivate collaboration among teams. Use the staff notebook tool in your team space to collaborate with your team. Keep track of your agenda items for team meetings, take notes, and share 1:1 tasks, to-dos, etc.

Private Notebooks are private notebooks shared between the team leader and each individual team member. Leaders can access every team member notebook, while team members can only see their own.
