Carter and Forsyth (2007) review the extent to which the scholarly work in forensic psychology addresses race and culture. They find that a focus on racial and cultural factors is severely limited, especially given that members of minoritized races are overrepresented in forensic populations. They provide recommendations for practice and future study.

Lens (2019) provides a study of family court child maltreatment proceedings and how these proceedings may disadvantage already minoritized races, genders, and classes. They provide recommendations for how the proceedings may be reformed to better serve parents and families that represent these minoritized groups.

Ozkan, T., Worrall, J., & Piquero, A. (2016). Does minority representation in police agencies reduce assaults on the police? American Journal of Criminal Justice, 41(3), 402–423.
Ozkan et al. (2016) discuss the recent calls for ensuring representation of minoritized races among law enforcement as a means of addressing racial disparities in criminal justice outcomes. They discuss the research that indicates the positive outcomes related to minoritized racial representation among law enforcement but find that it may be limited in curbing assaults on police officers.
