This piece on cultural humility provides an introduction basis for what will be an ongoing and lifelong process of working toward cultural humility.

Payne and Hannay do a particularly good job of demonstrating the blurred line or connection between the macro-level level concept of systemic racism discussed in the previous lesson and the micro-level or individual nature of implicit bias. As noted previously, the distinction between these levels of theory and practice is useful in our conceptual study, but is less apparent and less relevant in practice.

This seminal article launched much of the academic work and public discussion about the concept of white privilege. It remains relevant in our current social climate. Pay particular attention to the questions McIntosh poses and consider your answers while you read.
