This chapter establishes the need for scholarly support, describes the creation of the advanced research center (ARC) at National University, and outlines the types of support services that should be provided to scholars pursuing publications and presentations. Examples of specific guidance are provided, such as how to find appropriate opportunities, collaborating with other scholars, and participating in the peer review process. Arguments are made for continued initiatives and projects that support ongoing scholarly inquiry for the university community. The chapter contains a background section about changing times in scholarly pursuits, a literature review on the topic, including a focus on the servant scholarship approach and mindset, a description of the ARC project and initiative's development and trajectory, and practical guidance for scholars based on ARC's ongoing efforts. The metaphor of building, maintaining, utilizing, and connecting bridges with a mindset of service to the community is utilized throughout.
