NVivo is a qualitative analysis software that is helpful for working with various amounts and types of data. You can use this software to organize your project, manage and code your data, and visually display your results. This session will provide a foundational understanding of the basics of NVivo, without focusing on a specific methodological approach. By the end of the session, you will have a fundamental understanding of how to start a new project, a general orientation to the main interface, and where to go to add your data sources. Wednesday 4:00 p.m.
The NVivo Next Steps session is designed to provide you with a discussion of moving from raw data to codes and using NVivo tools to create categories that will aid in the identification of themes. Learners will learn key strategies for the preparation and organization of data prior to beginning analysis to ensure that the end result is indicative of the goals for the study presented in Chapter 3.
