This chapter also includes information about how to manage difficult situations.

Chapter 5 includes information about interviewing children, parents, and teachers, as well as families.
Chapter 6 - Ending the Interview (pp. 221-242)
Chapter 6 includes information designed to assist the interviewer in ending the interview process. Follow-up interviews are explored as well as considerations related to the validity and reliability of interviews.

The factors that can affect the interview quality are explored. Different interview methods are explored. Structured and semi-structured interview tools are explored. This chapter also included information about suicide assessment, we will cover this more in depth in Week 7.

The video above includes an overview of how to complete a clinical interview with children/adolscents. As a school psychologist, you will be required to complete interviews with children/adolescents. This will be part of the assessment process you will complete for stduents as well.
