Cohen, R. J., Schneider, W.J., & Tobin, R.M. (2025). Psychological testing and assessment: An introduction to tests and measurement. McGraw.
- Students should review chapters 9, 10, and 15. In particular, ‘measuring intelligence’ and ‘issues in the assessment of intelligence’ are important to review in chapter 9. Chapter 10 examines assessment in education. Children and adolescents are often given intelligence measures with achievement or aptitude tests for diagnostic needs. Chapter 15 also reviews assessments in other roles, such as careers in business, and cognitive assessments are often used for screening, selection, and classification.
