What is Real Property?

Real Property: Land (including buildings and other permanent attachments to the land) and the rights arising out of land. Real property is distinguished from 'personal property,' which is temporary and movable in nature. A 'leasehold interest,' the right to rent land for a particular time, is characterized as personal property because it is thought to be temporary.
