ASC Chat & Ask a Coach

The ASC Chat and Ask a Coach service,  allows students and faculty to interact with coaches live via ASC Chat or asynchronously via form, email, or text messages (928-440-1325) using the Ask a Coach option.

The Springshare platform is used by the ASC, GSSC, and Library teams. A shared platform allows teams to provide students with a robust learning experience, guided by the best team for supporting the specific issue during a single end-user experience.

  • For example, a student might connect with the ASC to discuss synthesizing information, and a librarian might be invited to the conversation to assist the student with locating resources. Finally, an Alumni Navigator might be invited to join the chat to help the student access their course room and find relevant faculty feedback.

Proofreading Service

This service aims to provide students with a trustworthy editing resource to support diverse writing needs with a focus on APA, formatting, and grammar. Students can select from a menu of 30-minute, 1, 2, and 3-hour sessions. Students who have a completed dissertation can schedule a complimentary 3-hour proofreading session.

Power Hours

Power hours are open Zoom sessions where students can come and go at will. Students can ask the host coach questions, brainstorm with other students, or use the time to study.

  • Economics and Finance
  • Hypo Happy Hour

Embedded Coaching

An embedded coach is available during the live class session to meet with students individually or in small groups and assist students in developing the skill being taught at that time. Coaches also host corresponding group sessions and workshops based on the concepts the students need to master to complete the course. Coaches also assist students with scheduling appointments. Please contact the Academic Success Center if you would like to request this service for your course.
